My friend got his laptop infected with zeroaccess and it looks like too much of a pain in the *** to remove. Im going to reformat it but before I do I need to know if the hidden partition from manufacture used to reformat be compromised as well?

The hidden partition may not be compromised but, typically, zeroaccess can infect the MBR so reformatting the OS partition may not rid the computer of the infection.
