Hello i've been having a problem starting my Laptop 2 times so far this month it comes up with a message along the lines of
"Cannot detect hard drive insert Boot drive or press any key to continue" So this happens I ended up restarting the computer and going to the BIOS and just going to START PC with Factory settings or something which ended up starting it up, it happened again and im just curious if there is a more "permanent" Solution to my problem or if my hard drive is just slowly dying...

Thank you in advance, for any replies!

You could download HD Tune and see if it is failing...        Look under the tabs and do some tests to figure out if it is failing, although I hope it is not, that would really suck...

I prefer Linux. Windows 10 is just to invasive for me.

Hi i was almost unable to reboot up today, took about 10 - 15 attempts, i downloaded HD TUNE as far as i can tell everything appears ok but i am not to sure since i am not the most tech savvy person and am not entirely sure what to look for, but i got a screen shot of the screen i've been getting.

Go into your BIOS and select your hard drive to boot first, I can't be sure on how to do this, how ever you get into your BIOS. On HD Tune go to the tab called error scan and hit scan, but make sure that "Quick Scan" IS NOT CHECKED! Let it get through and make a snapshot by going in the upper left corner and clicking on the "snapshot" button. Post so I can look at it. Also go under the "Health" tab and post what is there so I can look at the overall health.

I just clipboarded the health since a screen shot wouldn't fit it all, just waiting for the scan to be done
