I have an issue with NUM LOCK being off when I boot up my laptop.

I have tried a number of solutions to no avail.

1. Changing the regedit as described in previous posts here. The value in the INITIAL_KEYBOARD_INDICATORS is 2 and no matter what value I change it to it defaults back to 2 when I reboot. (I realise the value should be 2 for NUM LOCK to be on when booting)

2. Trying to change the BIOS setting when I boot up the laptop. However I believe HP give a very limited BIOS from which users can change settings. For example there is no NUM LOCK setting for me to toggle.

3. I have tried disabling the fast boot option.

I have now run out of ideas and patience. Does anyone have any other suggestions please?

Many thanks
