r9 270x vs 770

i was at canada computers and they recommended the 270x for me for bf4. But in general what one will perform better on max settings for any game? willt he 270 be fine or should i return it? i dont care if it has better FPS as long as it will one perfectly with no lag.

the 770 is a higher rated card for sure, however I would imagine the 270 will play battlefield 4 just fine and not worth the extra price tag of the 770. And personally Im not a nvidia fan, so if you wanted something with more oomf then the 270 you could go with the higer rated r9 280 or 290s. theyre a pretty penny but the performance is amazing.
