I use internet on my laptop via wifi (Mobile phone as a hotspot) connection, which works fine. But when I use 3G usb modem, only Firefox can access the internet. But internet explorer, Skype, Youtube downloader, Windows update etc none of them can access the web although the conneciton is active.

Can somone guide how to solve this issue. I am using windows 7 64 bit premium edition.

Regards.

What particular 3G USB modem brand and provider? Do you have good signal connection and speed using the USB modem? In my experience, they are slow as snail in our area atleast. :(

I am using D link 3G modem, its speed is quite good. The issue is not about the signal strength. When I use internet via 3G modem, only firefox can access the internet and nothing else. But with wifi connection everyting works fine all apps get connected with the internet.
