I'm usually able to diagnose problems on my own but none of this makes any sense to me. I must be infected in some way. It's sporadic, with months between it happening then all issues magically disappear.

1.inel wifi utility says "no supported wireless netwirk adapter was found." and it says no wifi networks available troubleshooter can't find the problem. it worked the night before. wake up and there's an x over wireless bars. phone connects to wifi no problem.

2.I ran eset nod32 a couple times and it found a couple things but never any options to do something with them. I uninstalled it and got there downloader to do the trial one cause the database on mine was out of date due to tnod doesn't work anymore. when trying to install the new one it says "Error: could not write value InstalationStatus to key\Software\ESET\ESET Security\current version\info. verify you have sufficient access to that key,or contact your support personel."

3.also tried to watch a film from computer HDMI out and when I turn on the receiver the computer screen blinks as it normally does but no image ever comes on the TV. It was fine the night before.

4.also when I ran eset a bunch of the lines said error opening, password protected for things that I know I dint put a password on.

5.I ran malwarebytes and spybot S and D around same hour as eset and it found nothing.

6.when I click the home button. all programs is highlighted, click it, and nothing in the tree is highlighted.

7.restored computer to before the update that happened wile asleep thinking that was the problem but that did nothing.

8.click home button then click documents and nothing happens. I have to click pictures to bring up window then in the libraries tree I drop down documents click my documents is the only way to get to it. I know there's more issues I just haven't looked to describe them in this post. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am the administrator and there is no passwords on it.

that sux. I put spaces between lines to make it easy to read but the post looks like damn binary code or a long ass run on sentence.

Forgot to add. I use slimbrowser and it sometimes hangs up with not being able to close a tab or anything so I have to go to task manager to end slimbrowser rendering process then restart it.

guess I figured out the post problem. It can only hold so many characters.

Hello.. All the replies to yourself give the appearance you have help.

Let's try this first

ESET Online Scanner:

Note: You can use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox for this scan. You will however need to disable your current installed Anti-Virus, how to do so can be read here.

Vista/Windows 7 users: You will need to to right-click on the either the IE or FF icon in the Start Menu or Quick Launch Bar on the Taskbar and select Run as Administrator from the context menu.
  • Please go here to run the scan.

Note: If using Mozilla Firefox you will need to download esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe when prompted then double click on it to install.
All of the below instructions are compatible with either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox.

  • Select the option YES, I accept the Terms of Use then click on: EOLS2.gif
  • When prompted allow the Add-On/Active X to install.
  • Make sure that the option Remove found threats IS checked, and the option Scan archives is checked.
  • Now click on Advanced Settings and select the following:
    • Scan for potentially unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  • Now click on: EOLS3.gif
  • The virus signature database... will begin to download. Be patient this make take some time depending on the speed of your Internet Connection.
  • When completed the Online Scan will begin automatically.
  • Do not touch either the Mouse or keyboard during the scan otherwise it may stall.
  • When completed select Uninstall application on close if you so wish, make sure you copy the logfile first!
  • Now click on: EOLS4.gif
  • Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\ESET\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt.
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic.
Note: Do not forget to re-enable your Anti-Virus application after running the above scan!

OK good, lets see if there is more Conduit.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
  • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
  • The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
  • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • AdwCleaner will begin to scan your computer like it did before.
  • After the scan has finished...
Make sure ALL items are checked
  • This time click on the Clean button.
  • Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
  • Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
  • After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S#].txt) will open automatically (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
  • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
  • A copy of that logfile will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder.

yup. the HDMI set up I use to use is back to running normal. The damn wifi is still  dumb though. I click troubleshoot and it says "couldn't identify the problem." No available networks show inn the list and an x over the bars. Also in the box of running apps or whatever its called, is the icon for Intel My wifi technologya it has a yellow yeild sign over it in the bottom right corrner of the icon. When I highlight it. It says "adapter not found."

Hello;;
Uninstall this, old versions can be exploited by malware.
Java 7 Update 45 (Version: 7.0.450)

Lets also check for TDSS infections as they may cause this.

Download TDSSKiller and save it to your desktop.
  • Extract (unzip) its contents to your desktop.
  • Open the TDSSKiller folder and doubleclick on TDSSKiller.exe to run the application, then on Start Scan.
  • If an infected file is detected, the default action will be Cure, click on Continue.
  • If a suspicious file is detected, the default action will be Skip, click on Continue.
  • It may ask you to reboot the computer to complete the process. Click on Reboot Now.
  • If no reboot is require, click on Report. A log file should appear. Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.
  • If a reboot is required, the report can also be found in your root directory (usually C:\ folder) in the form of TDSSKiller_xxxx_log.txt. Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.
