Hi everyone

I have  a Toshiba laptop running on windows 7...I dont know much about computers but I know some and can follow directions. About 3 days ago my husband downloaded something and I'm pretty sure it gave us a virus. Instantly after download all of my programs changed over to a white picture box. I can't open any kind of program it . When I am not in safe mode I can't access anything. Clicking does nothing at all, right clicking there is no option to run program or anything. It wont let me open things like explorer or chrome to even get on the internet. I do have Avast installed but it wont even let me run that. When I go into safe mode I no longer have internet access and anything I try to open says it has been moved or deleted. I don't know what to do. I have tried system restore and downloading Malwarebytes and again I get nothing just a box pop up with a red X

With the help of an awesome guy on here in a different forum we tried to run Tools among other things and it didnt work. I tried doing everything he said , i tried opening everything he suggested and got boxes pop up that said "the file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action". I was able to get online it was just connected this time. I cant pull up any browers without it saying "it has been moved or deleted" I was able to go into a program name and click open. It opened a web page that says "file doesnt exist" but it gave me a browser to attempt the downloads you suggested. None of them worked. They act like they are going to download but then that box with the red X comes and says " no such interface" I tried everything he suggested and got these messages on everything. When my laptop first started acting up I read on a site about Malwarebytes and was somehow able to download it. It came up clean however so IDK. Its frustrating

So I'm here on this forum now asking for help if anyone can...Please and thank you
