Hi,

I've been having this problem for a couple of months now. If I try to run Malwarebytes, it starts running, but very soon it freezes up and I can't close it or do anything besides powering off the computer with the power button.

I tried using different tools suggested on this site. They found some things, but still Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Anti Rootkit do not work.

I think there was or may still be a rootkit on my system, but I am not sure. I'd appreciate your help.

As I said up here, I used some tools and deleted some things that appeared to be malware. I do have the logs of what was deleted, if that will help you, let me know and I can provide that information.

I am running Windows 7  32-bit, Home Premium.

Thank you for the help

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
