Just wondered if someone could recommend a way/program to block all but a few designated websites in Firefox for a Guest Account? Found lots of ways to block individual sites, but I'm kinda shocked that there doesn't seem to be a very simple procedure for this (similiar to public terminal/consoles). The proxy method, perhaps? We'll be running 8.1. Thanks

Firefox > Tools > Options > Network (tab) > Connection (click on Setting...)

Manual proxy configuration:

HTTP Proxy: bogus IP Port: 8080
enable > Use this proxy server for all protocols

No Proxy for:
delete localhost, 127.0.0.1
add sites you want to allow only

Or you can use this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocksite/

Or the 'host' file http://www.ehow.com/how_7309117_can-account-entering-certain-websites_.html

Awesome--thanks. I'll give that a shot.

I didn't think anyone used the Guest account anymore. Almost everyone has smart phones...so let them use that to access the Internet.
