(I'm sorry if this is in the wrong side of the forum.)

I just want to mention that Im not infected and I know im not infected. I have had software conflicts many times in the past and i believe this is one of them. Whenever I try to use 2 anti rootkit programs (vba32 and Tizer Rootkit Razor) they both can't seem to install their driver. Everytime I click on the Tizer program a message comes up saying that I need to restart in order to use this program...but it is a continuous loop. And as for vba, when I use it I get the red message at the bottom (can't install driver) I can use the program still but I believe it does nothing since the scan time is less than 1 second.

At Wilders forum someone else had this problem and they said something about unzipping it as trusted? Or using it as trusted..not sure what that means really. My antivirus is Bitdefender I completely disabled it and even tried to use the 2 ARK programs in safe mode but nothing else changes. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I really dont know if BD has some kind of hidden setting that doesn't allow weird drivers to be installed or whatever, but if anyone can help me with this it would be appreciated. : )

If you think BitDefender may be interfering (which many anti-viruses do) with the ARK scans, then disconnect from the Internet and temporary turn off/disable it's real-time protection before starting the scan.

Thanks for the reply quietman. Unfortunately I have tried this and it still hasn't worked. I was thinking about uninstalling then reinstalling Bitdefender but that shouldn't cause any issues with the registry right? Like when I reinstall it again there shouldnt be 2 instances of Bitdefender running will there? Or will it write over the original files again?

Uninstalling and reinstalling the same anti-virus is not uncommon and should just overwrite existing files, folders, registry entries. In fact some vendors even suggest doing that as a repair procedure.

You could also try other ARK tools and see what happens before going through that step. There are plenty free ARKS available...just be aware that some are more for advanced users.

That didn't solve the issue :(

I read this in event viewer and I believe it has to do with one of the programs:

First Event - \SystemRoot\SysWow64\DRIVERS\1UnHooker.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

Second Event - \??\C:\Windows\SysWow64\drivers\aqno1y3h.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

It might be from Tizer but this still doesn't explain why vba32 is not working since I did try uninstalling Bitdefender and it still gives me the message:

Are there any other security programs on your system?...it could be another one that is having issues with the drivers.

At the time I also disabled MBAM, MBAE, WinPatrol, & Sandboxie.

I also found out using autoruns that "1unhooker" belonged to Tizer.

I'm not sure what else to do..I tried using vba32 in VMware using Win7 32 bit and it worked flawlessly. Does it have something to do with 64 bit?

It could. I have never used vba32 so you would need to check with their support.

I know older versions of GMER were not 64-bit compatible...but v2 is.
