Hey, all.  I am building a Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8288 laptop for a customer, and I am having a bit of a problem.  Before I Installed the new backlight and inverter, the LCD would turn on and show everything like it should.  But ever since I installed the new backlight and inverter, nothing happens.  I turn on the laptop, and the power light turns on, like normal.  But I have zero activity.  Now even the LCD isn't starting, and running a VGA cable to an external makes no difference.  I must say I'm stumped.  Has anyone had the same problem?  If so, what did you do to fix it?

Go back and make sure everything is connected properly.  There is also the possibility of DOA parts.
