Are you being asked for the latest flash player through your web browser or is there a pop up in your tasktray in the bottom right hand corner prompting for an update?

Netbooks are always going to be slow, due to they use a low end CPU. How much RAM is installed? What browser are you using? How fast is the connection that you are using? Is this your own personal network that you are having this issue, or is it on Public WiFi?
