  • Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
  • Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

    • Windows Firewall
    • System Restore
    • Security Center/Action Center

p22002970.gif Please download Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) to your desktop.
There are 2 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.
You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool, ignore them or shutdown your antivirus.

rKill.exe: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/dl/10/
iExplore.exe (renamed rKill.exe): http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/dl/11/

  • Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
  • If using Vista or Windows 7 right-click on it and choose Run As Administrator.
  • A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
  • If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2.
  • Do not reboot until instructed.
  • If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know.

If normal mode still doesn't work, run the tool from safe mode.

When the scan is done Notepad will open with rKill log.
Post it in your next reply.

NOTE. rKill.txt log will also be present on your desktop.

NOTE Do NOT wrap your logs in "quote" or "code" brackets.

Hi

Sorry for the long wait. The malwarebyte anti malware I did a full scan before I made this post. So the full scan log are posted.

Here are the logs though Malwarebyte rootkit gave me a message but I didn't delete the file. Here was the message.

Registry value "appinit_dlls " has been found, which may be caused by rootkit activity.

Note: press "no" button if your not sure. If the tool crashes or terminates unexpectly during the system scan, restart tool and pres "yes" should this message appear again.

Why I have the hijackers is because my uncle hired someone to install a new operating system and the when I came to complain to the guy he thinks these aren't real viruses  and his advice was to stay away from the other sites.  The internet download manager program was from the new system.

Please note that I have run adwcleaner before so I will use th old log

so you want me for  eset to Check Scan archives  and to leave the check mark on the remove threats option?

well to give you info that I forgot to post, the eset on the last scan days ago came up with no threats

I am unsure what program did it but I think the threats are removed, maybe it was removed on the first post from you Broni

I was also doing research and I notice that there was an extension called search donkey, I heard this is a spyware/malware so is there a way I can submit this extension to malwarebytes so it can be removed during the program scan

here is the adwcleaner logs the new one done today

Where exactly do you see it?

p22002970.gif We need to reset your "hosts" file.

Restart computer in Safe Mode.

How to start Windows in Safe Mode
Open Windows Explorer. Go Tools>Folder Options>View tab, put a checkmark next to Show hidden files, and folders, UN-check Hide protected operating system files.
NOTE. Make sure to reverse the above changes, when done with this step.
Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC folder.
Delete hosts file.
NOTE (Windows Vista and later only). If you can't delete "hosts" file (access denied) take ownership of "ETC" folder first and then try again: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

Restart in normal mode.
Please, go here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034#FixItForMeAlways and click on "Fix it" button to reset your "hosts" file.
Follow all prompts.

Re-run MuniToolbox.

Checkmark following boxes:

  • List content of Hosts

Click Go and post the result.

p22002970.gif Update Firefox to the current 27.0.1 version.

p22002970.gif Update Adobe Flash Player: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
