Do you have a working internet connection? Check the icon for your connection in the notification area.

Or, press and hold the Windows key and type R to show the RUN dialog. Type cmd and click OK.

At the resulting prompt, type   ping 8.8.8.8   You should get 4 successful replies and should look something like this...

Pinging 8.8.8.8 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=47
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=41ms TTL=47
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=42ms TTL=47
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=41ms TTL=47

Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 41ms, Maximum = 43ms, Average = 41ms

Have you tried a different browser, like Firefox or Google Chrome?

You should not run more than one antivirus at a time, this can lead to false positives and other problems.

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  When  FileHippo opens, click on Download latest version in the upper right pane.

When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

speccy9_zps2d9cdedc.png

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.

The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

speccy7_zpsfa02105f.png

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

speccy3_zps1791b093.png

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

 Checkmark the following checkboxes:

• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• List Minidump Files

Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, copy it and paste it in your next post.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

You can also try to reset IE by hitting Windows and R and typing the command inetcpl.cpl. In this window you can go to the Advanced tab, click Reset... and then Reset.  If IE still does not work after that you can try putting in the latest version of IE for your computer if it is not already installed. You can download it here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/internet-explorer/download-ie

Your CPU is overheating.

Maximum operating temperature  ?  49°C - 71°C

Per Speccy:  AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+:    70 °C

You have Symantec and Avast processes working...you need to uninstall (via Add/Remove Programs) all Avast, AVG, and Symantec programs/add-ons.  Use MSE as your AV, Windows Firewall.

Uninstall Optimizer Pro.

Microsoft support policy for the use of registry cleaning utilities - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2563254

Registry cleaner - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registry_cleaner

Registry Cleaner FAQ, PC Support - http://pcsupport.about.com/od/registry-cleaner/a/registry-cleaner-faq.htm

After the above are completed...run the chkdsk /r command and it won't hurt to defrag the C: partition after that.

Remove the side of your case and observe the fan on the CPU. At those temps, it should be at full speed and making lots of noise. If not, it's likely failed, but there can be other reasons the fan isn't turning (blockage, no power, etc...)

Another common overheating culprit is dirt/fuzz/dust buildup in the heatsink between the CPU fan and the CPU. All the fins (and the CPU fan blades) need to be clear of any debris. If not, use compressed air to blow all the crap out, along with de-fuzzing the rest of the box while you're at it. Be careful not to let any of the fans spin too fast under the compressed air. I use a long wooden match to hold any fan I'm cleaning around. A clean computer is a cool computer. Don't forget to check the other fans operations while the side is off.

Just be careful and do all the cleaning with the PC powered off.

After the game, the King and the Pawn go into the same box...

One of the quickest ways to kill board components is electrostatic discharges.  To avoid this you should touch the metal of the case before you touch anything inside the case.

A discharge as small as 10 volts can kill integrated circuits.  The human body is capable of electrostatic discharges of several thousands of volts.  The threshold of electrostatic discharge voltages that cause pain is between 2,000 and 3,000 volts.  This is the type of shock you receive on a winter day when you reach out to touch a door knob and get zapped.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
