As you all know Microsoft is withdrawning support for XP on the 8th of pril this year.

I have been pondering on what to do, I am running XP pro and apart from the fact it doesn't like Chrome I have no issues with it.

I would change to Win 7 but I also have a laptop and I just cannot afford that sort of expenditure.

I use Bitdefender SafePay  (VPN) when visiting my bank and as an experiment have entered various URLs (including this one) and I am able do all I want with no  problems, except of course you cannot Copy & paste. It occured to me if after support from MS I used VPN would I  be safe fdrom the ungodly?

Any suggestions from you helpful fellow members would be appreciated.

Ron.

Most of the updates for Windows address security issues.  Without Microsoft's support you will not have these updates to help protect your computer.  If a firewall and antivirus could prevent these attacks Microsoft wouldn't be spending the time and money to protect their products.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Thank you for your reply, It's probably my fault for not making myself clear, I was refering to using a Virtual Private Network,  such as Bitdefender Safepay.
