Cursor freezes in Windows 8.1

My Toshiba laptop with win 8.1 freezes the cusor...help!

My Toshiba laptop with win 8.1 freezes the cusor...help!

Okay.  It happens.  Usually it is because there is a process that takes priority of the OS, which in turns causes it to lock up.  Should only be for a second.  If more then a minute, then you have something that got a mind of its own, and basically crashed the system, even though it appears everything is still running.

 

What is the date of the driver for your mouse, and who is the publisher.  This information can be found in Device manager, by right clicking on the device.

Thanks for the reply.

 

We tried many possiblilites, but the only thing that fixed the problem was a total refreseh.   We even ran two anti's and 1-resuce and they did not fix the freezing cursor.

There were many helpful items on the internet as well as this site but nothing worked.  THe 2012 T
