Suddenly, sound went bad.

Sound on youtube bad..skips & warbles.  Media player bad also.  SoundMax Analog speakers.  Control panel test shows all sounds good there..??  I'm perplexed and don't know what to do.  Can someone help?

Try the speakers with another device.

 

 Play a music CD, see if problem remains.

 

Uninstall audio drives, then reinstall.

 

Run Windows Sound Troubleshooter (Help menu, type "audio") and DirectX troubleshooter/diagnostic.
