Update: I just tried refreshing and it didn't reup the audio. Now I don't hear anything.

I uninstalled Conexant SmartAudio HD, and restarted like it asked me too. However it was already installed when I opened it back up. Is that a problem?
The window says that the device is working properly.
The audio temporarily worked upon reboot, then I experienced the same problem.

Also how do I access those troubleshooters?
EDIT: I now have reinstalled both sound drivers to no avail.
EDIT: It appears closing ALL tabs with sound will also restore sound to the computer.

What tabs are you talking about, please?
Do you mean browser Windows?
If so...how does that correct the loss of non-browser sounds?
Use the Windows HELP topics to find info on the trourbleshooters mentioned.

Tabs in Google Chrome.
EDIT2: Windows Help and Support does not seem to have my issue listed.
EDIT: Just for the record, I'm testing my offline sound by clicking on the sound bar in the lower-right hand corner (it makes a "ding" when I click on it so long as the sound isn't broken.)
