Hi all,

I recently purchased a computer with a legal copy of XPpro installed, but it has some issues & no installation disk was included. I have a second copy of XPpro installed on another computer with the disk. I downloaded Magical Jellybean & retrieved the codes from the new computer.

Question is:

Can I use the disk I have to reload XP onto the new computer & use the installation code retrieved via Jellybean to have a legal copy on both computers?

Thanks, Butch.

As long as you have a valid licence key for each computer there should be no problem in using the the same installation disc.

However if the installation disc is an OEM version supplied with the old computer then it may not work if the newer system is from a different manufacturer.

You can use the XP Pro disc to make the installation if the new computer has XP Pro installed on it.  The product key is specific to the version that is installed.  If it is a different version you may have problems activating the installation.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
