Can anyone help shed some light on the the cause of these BSODs?   (BlueScreenView dump below).  BSOD triggers at random but usually while running an excel macro on a 500k row spreadsheet which without interruption (ie a BSOD) would normally take a few days to complete.  Memtest gives an all clear after running for 48hrs, using the default M-board settings, no overclock, chkdsk / SMART reports all clear and the SSD has the latest firmware.

Thanks in advance

Please perform the following, so that we can get the exact specs of your computer. This will better assist us in helping you more.

Publish a Snapshot using Speccy

The below is for those who cannot get online

Please take caution when attaching a text file to your post if you cannot copy/paste the link to your post, you will need to edit it to make sure that your Windows Key is not present.

Please download MiniToolBox, and save it to your desktop and run it, and checkmark the following checkboxes:
  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List Winsock Entries
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.
Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

@dc3 - it's a 256GB Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series

Here's the rest of the speccy and minitoolbox output (omitting some of the network details):

puu.sh/6HteR/a1804b51c1.txt

puu.sh/6HtS1/db02c4f4bc.txt

Thanks

what specific information do you need regarding the network details that's not already in the two puu.sh links above?

The best way to test the ssd is to use the manufacturer's diagnostic tool.  Samsung's is Magician, you can download it the Samsung website.  I already entered the information for your ssd, so when the website opens all you need to do is click on Downloads, then download Magician.  You can find instruction here.

Understood, here's a link to the more readable speccy output in html format (wrapped in a zip file containing the stylesheet and icons):

puu.sh/6Hy49/080b5d7bac.zip

And the mini toolbox output is already in plaintext format:

puu.sh/6HtS1/db02c4f4bc.txt

Let me assure you, there's nothing out of the ordinary with the network config, outbound/inbound IPs or active/passive sockets.  None of that information can (in my case) explain the causes of these BSODs... if there was something in that information which could in any way infer an infection, I'd notice it.

@dc3 - Magician reports the drive is fine:  http://puu.sh/6HAdC/c0d027bddf.png

What is so difficult about posting the link to speccy that is created via going to File and Publish Snapshot and then posting the resulting link from the window that pops up?

After looking at the speccy in readable format I would like for you disconnect the NAS, and reboot. I would like for you to download Data Life Gard Tool from Western Digital and get the ISO image of the CD. I would like for you to do a test on your western digital drives.

I would then like for you to visit Asus.com and see if there are any updated drivers for your motherboard.

I would like for you to download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and perform a scan to see if you have any malicious files. Windows Defender is not anti-virus.
