An elderly friend of mine has just asked me to help clear her netbook of a virus(es)? The netbook running Windows 7 or 8. Could someone help me out here please and suggest a course of action?

I would suggest starting a topic Security forums, specifically in the Am I Infected? What Do I Do? forum.
