Laptop Mouse Pad Not Responding to Tap

Have Toshiba NB 255 netbook, before i was able to tap and,double tap and click and,double click on icons, folders etc.

but of lately i am only able to click and double click.. The tap is not working... Please Help!!

What operating system are you running??? Is it Windows XP, Vista, or 7?

Try uninstalling the touchpad drivers...then reinstalling same.
