I have a Lenovo Z61m Laptop that i buy on ebay but the seller never told me that this laptop has a bios lock password i try to disconect the bios battery and no luck ,.... i hope some body can tell me how to unlock this without unsoldering the bios ship..

you didn't wait long enough without the battery... about 15-20 mins to drain to 0.

 

edit: and press the power button whilst disconnected and battery-less.... drops the system.

it's a notorious series for holding BIOS passwords.... it may just be junk.

i leave the battery unplug all night and still asking for bios password


there is a guy from australia that sells a board to read the eeprom

Why don't you raise a dispute on ebay if the seller can't provide the password.  Clearly it's useless without the password and needs specialist tools to recover it.

Bit more info on this, Lenovo say forgotten BIOS "supervisor password" needs a new motherboard and hard drive :wacko:  http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=migr-59377  Evidence if it were needed that the seller is in the wrong here if it was sold like that as a working laptop.

Documentation at the Lenovo website states the same thing, in more words.
