Thanks for clicking on my thread. I appreciate any help.

Looking to upgrade RAM for my PC. Wondering if someone can help me figure out the right buy.

Here is a link to my specs.

Please note I dont have 512MB of RAM, I have 1GB of RAM right now. I have 2 512MB sticks installed. They are PC-2 5300 266MHZ.

These are the sticks I am looking at. Im trying to buy 2, so my RAM will be at 3GB.

Will these be compatible with my PC? And is this the best my computer can do?

I apoligize if I havent provided enough information. Let me know if you need more.

Hi in theory it should work although it is best not to mix and match as there may be compatibility issues. Your best bet is to have 4GB of ram which means purchasing four sticks of ram.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I will take my chances buying just 2, and if it doesn't work, I will order 2 more.

I believe I need Low Profile RAM sticks. This Amazon listing does not mention that. Are these right for me?

It says they are 1.25 inches tall.

Anyone know the height of standard ram sticks and the height of low profile ones?

If your looking for low profile ram then Kingston can help you with it.
