Using Windows 7 SP1, all updates

I'm having trouble searching some executable's from the \windows and \windows\system32 folders.

On my other computers, in the start button search box, if I type regedit, it displays in the search results (above the search box)

On this computer, it doesn't show.

I can open explorer, click C:\ drive, type regedit in the search box (top right) and it eventually shows up there.

Every other computer I've used shows up using the start button search box?

I've compared the Folder Options/Search Tab settings on both cpu's and they seem to be the same

Same goes for CMD, MSCONFIG, etc.

Thanks

Chris

Thanks for the suggestion, I've completed the rebuild and it's still not showing in the start button search box

Any other suggestions

Chris

OK, think I found out whats going on.

I didn't have "Search Programs and Control panel" ticked in the Customize Start Menu options.

Seems to be working now.

Thanks for your help.
