repairing vista other than the cd way

a lot of features of my vista is corrupt or not functional , i dont have a vista repair cd (as vista was already installed on the laptop when i bought it).... 

is there a way i can repair vista

What is the make and model of the laptop? If it still has it's recovery partition, it may be possible to do a factory reset but all programs and data will be lost. You would need to backup all important data and reinstall any programs that were added after purchase.

that is the excat problem..  i dont want to do a factory reset ... as thee are a lot of programs installed... data backup can be done.. but soooo many installations is not possible as a lot of programmes are very old and i dont have their installation exe only...

 

pls if u can suggest any other way


the make is hp pavillion 9700

Other than getting a hold of a Vista install disk with the same SP as what you are now running, I would not know how you could do a repair. Sorry.
