Hi

I have contracted the old e-crime ransom virus via a video i watched online, you know the one that locks up your desktop and asks for $100.

Ive had this Trojan many times and always managed to delete it using malware bytes in safe mode but this time it cannot remove it, each time i restart after finding the virus it is still there.

So i ran in safe with command prompt having noted down the location of the virus, i cant manually delete it nor can i change its name of file detail.

Anybody got any idea what i do next, my malware is up to date.

Regards, Scott

Hi Scott,

Ive had this Trojan many times

So your safety concept is a bit .. shaky.. ;)

having noted down the location of the virus

Can you please specify the location you have noted down?

What operating system are you running? Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8?
