Hi,

I just bought an HDD docking station for Sata/IDE drives. I would like to get information from the laptop's 2.5' IDE drive. When I connect it, device manager shows it for half minute, but can't populate volume. I used it with 2.5' IDE drives, same things happened. Again I connected a Sata drive which fits fine as well as card reader, usb etc. Finally, I connected two 3.5' IDE drives one to another, the main problem remains. It can't use in Windows 7 pro SP3 . Any minds?

I'm finding some difficulty understanding the detail of what you posted. However if the end result is that the dock does not function correctly with IDE drives, SATA drives or as a card reader, when tried with Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit as well as (I assume you mean) XP Pro SP3, then it seems likely to be faulty.

Sorry, it was urgent when I posted it, so I edit a little, hope you can make clear.

Hope I needn't try formatting.

Do you have a link to the device you are using?  A 2.5" drive uses a different connection than a 3.5" drive.  You may need an adapter.
