HD Youtube Downloader Free CNET Malware

I hope this will be a simple problem. I went on CNET and downloaded HD Youtube Downloader, being assured it would have no malware. Wrong.


I ran combofix (which rebooted my computer, which means it caught some stuff), got rid of what I could using Add Remove Programs, got rid of suspicious extensions on Firefox, and got rid of a suspicious search browser.


From past experience, I'm paranoid that there's still malware on my machine. I'm on Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, Firefox 26.


At present, my computer has no symptoms.

There's one thing I'd like to add. I finally have a symptom.


I rebooted my computer to do error correction on the C drive. The computer would not restart. Here is the error message:


NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl Alt Del to Restart
