Hi Everyone,

I have a Plextor SCSI CD-ROM drive hooked up to an Adaptec SCSI adaptor on a WINNT 4.0 box. I confirmed via the SCSI BIOS that it sees the drive, and when I hit the SCSI applet in the Control Panel, it sees the adapter, and see's the Plextor drive below it.

However, no drive letter is assigned to the device. When I look in Disk Manager (Drive Manager?), I don't see it, nor is it in My Computer. The option to assign a drive letter from Tools is disabled.

Any thoughts?
Chris.

Charles, appreciated, but isn't for Windows NT.

Oops, sorry.
Try this instead. You'll have to scroll down quite a long way, but NT is there..
Second time lucky eh?

Don't you know by now that it's third times the charm

If the solution was the Disk Administrator, the options are still greyed out and nothing but my HDD and IDE CDR are listed there.

And while I'm thinking about it, I'm logged in as an administrator.
