Hi,

I noticed when I start up my Chrome browser this tab pops up : http://uk.search.yahoo.com/?type=714647&fr=spigot-yhp-ch

even though yahoo is not set as my search engine. I've ended the spigot process before and there isn't a spigot or dealio program that I can uninstall..

*my firefox browser (which I use more frequently) is not infected

hoping someone can help me get rid of it once and for all as I'm not a very tech-savvy person.. :(

step by step (well actually 1 step) instructions here

edit: better now?

edit edit: just googled this thing, probably need to run a couple of malware removal programs... specific ones. Start a new thread in "Malware removal logs" forum.

edit edit edit: sorry for any confusion.

Hey, I'm glad that worked out sweet... others have had mini dramas getting some of these things out. :busy:

edit: it may not be cured so easy though, may just come back after you restart.
