We have a public use desktop that is "frozen" with Faronics Deep Freeze. I unfroze the system to do Windows updated and had a great deal of trouble getting the Windows 7 service pack to install. The system kept locking up. It was finally installed successfully. I have installed the additional updates without issue. The computer functions normally but every time it restarts it hangs on a screen that says Attempting Boot From CD-ROM Attempting Boot From Hard Drive and will eventually bring up a screen saying that Windows did not shut down successfully even though it appears to shut down correctly. I have shut the computer down multiple times (not a restart) and it shuts off without issue. I have run DOS based RAM and Hard Drive diagnostics just to rule out a hardware issue. All of this was done with the computer in the unfrozen state. What do I need to do next to try to correct the boot issue?
Thanks in advance for your advice,
