Posted 19 January 2014 - 09:38 PM

I noticed yesterday that I had a file on my external hard drive that I did not put there. I tried to delete it, but couldn't. Inside this file named "61e886fe0cea70544998" there is "mrt.exe._p" and "mrtstub". I cannot delete these from my documents in my computer. I have also noticed "TornTV" icon on my desktop that I have no clue where it came from. Upon deleting it, It prompted me to "add or remove programs", but it wasn't in there.

I googled MRT and came to a thread on this site. I thought I could do it myself and follow the instructions here.

I followed those instructions and thought I removed everything. But the crazy-numbered file with the MRT files are still in My Documents? When I ran SuperAntiSpyware, in safe mode, I came up with 433 threats. This may be a very extensive problem or multitude of problems. I have no money to buy programs to fix this issue. Would factory restoring my computer be an option to get rid of this?

Anyway, without further ado, if this problem can be fixed, thank you so much.

Here is my DDS:
