I've tried Fn+F9 and I've tried to update the drivers. I'm tired of installing and unnstalling. I just want to game on this laptop without the mouse going wonky on me. Would anyone happen to know the reigstery keys to Windows 8 64 bit Asus Q500A laptop touchpad?

Check the BIOS. According to the manual there is a setting to disable the "internal pointing device" under the Advanced tab.

I'll need a walkthrough or link to instructions to do that. I'm unfamilar with BIOS.

When the Asus logo appears tap the F2 key.

Use the left/right arrow keys to select Advanced at the top of the menu bar.

At the Advanced section press the down arrow key to select "internal pointing device".

Use the +/- key to change it to disabled.

Press F10 to save and exit the BIOS.

You can download the manual at the Asus support site for the images.
