I have a Small Business Server 2k3 server set up that continues to give LSA Shell errors, some forcing reboot.

I have checked the server with Stinger, F-Prot Enterprise, and a myriad of online scanners as well as manually going through HJT logs and checking every single process for suspicious activity. I also downloaded removers for all variants of Sasser, the most likely of the viruses to cause such activity and they all come up clean. I have applied ALL Microsoft updates including service packs.

Still the LSA Shell dies at random intervals. What could be causing the LSA Shell to freak out my server? Below is the HJT log for said server:

Update- Should anyone else find themselves in this predicament, here is the solution I found. In Microsoft KB article 818080 ( link below) they mention a hotfix. You have to call Microsoft and have them email it to you but it seems to correct this issue.

Ok. Hopefully you are not having problems any more.

And thanks for providing the info on the fix that you found.

We'll consider this topic closed now since it really wasn't a HJT forum item.
