OR ANY OTHER OFFICE SUITE....
I had Microsoft Office 2010 installed in my home desktop. It had a recurring problem of connecting to the internet to verify my installation of which all attempts failed. It was getting very annoying to me that resulted to uninstalling it and to install another version.
I initiated the uninstall procedure just fine then it displayed that it had "a problem removing" it. I resorted to force-uninstalling it by using IOBit's Uninstaller program. It said it completely removed the program then I began installing the other version.
I ran the installer and then nothing happened. I thought it was a corrupted download so I went and re-downloaded the whole thing. It came up with the same failure. Nothing happens after running the installer. I downloaded another version of the same provider and it still gave the same results. No error message, at all.
I then downloaded an OpenOffice suite thinking that the problem might be Microsoft product related. Same results. No error message.
Now, I am worried that I broke something internally (registry perhaps) that prevented me to install any office suite. I tried Microsoft's FixIt troubleshooter to aid me in finding out what might have went wrong. Nothing, still.
I need help in figuring out if I need to reinstall my operating system or if this can still be remedied.
NOTE: Please allow a one-day interval for me to reply because the computer I am using to write to you is a work computer from my mom's office and this work computer and my home computer shares the same cables and peripherals (for now). I will try to be on mobile mode whenever something needs to be done to the home computer.
Pardon for the wall of text. >,<
