Hello, can anyone assist ?

In error I accidentally downloaded whilst updating Java the unwanted ask toolbar, to date following various suggestions I have been unable to remove this pesky toolbar.

Any help would be appreciated

Lovely - In my laptop the removal was possible by Start > Programs Add or Remove > and just checked the Removal of the Ask.toolbar (visible like any other program)  which worked wonderfully.  Happens (a lot) when downloading a useful program you overlook the checked "install xxx_bar".

If you download from unknown pages - worse can happen, try to find the well know download pages and look for equal or similar programs to download.

Those are at least checked upon freedom of side-connected unneeded downloads.

Addicted to my portable T42 [xp] and a Desk PC with mobo Asus P5WD2 E PREMIUM [vista] - both operational in older OS but want to add both onto Linux.  All my application software works perfect in the XP environment.
