I am thinking, at last, of going on Broadband and the package I am thinking of says I can have 1 GB of download. I would welcome some advice as to what exactly that means. I don't download any music but do download a video of about 8 MB once or twice a month of my little grandson. I am also thinking of using a webcam occasionally to see him. I go on the Internet for an hour or so a day, sometimes longer, sometimes not at all as we are keen caravanners. Would 1 GB be OK for me?

Hi Vivienne.
You really need to read the "fine print" in limited bandwith accounts.
Basicly, what they consider as "downloads".
Any chance you would post a link to the service you're considering?
Your average user probably wouldn't exceed the 1 gb per month limit but it wouldn't last a week for me.
From what you describe as your average use, it's just the webcam that concerns me.
