Updating Adobe Reader resulted in many files and almost all icons being lost.  Did System Restore from 1-10-2014.

All Outlook Express Folders, Emails, and Address Book lost.   30% of screen Icons did not restore.  Norton won't book due to missing file.   Office 2007 tries to reload but shows missing files.   Any suggestions?

Adobe Reader doesn't and has not been able to perform what you describe. Where did you get Adobe Reader installer from? System Restore does not backup all files your outlook express stuff should be backed up manually.

Sounds like you installed a dodgy update, that was in fact malware.
