For the past 5 months of 10 years of using, on all 4 of my computers when I select the whole page of text (for less glare), after 1 or 2  minutes the blue screen vanishes so back to the original screen.

However if I move the cursor to any edge of the screen the selection blue colour returns! How can I fix this glitch please?

Also just a couple of days ago the blue selection colour is now washed out to  light blue so the contrast between colour and text is diminished.

Any advice please - thanks.

Not sure about the 1 to 2 minute bug but you can change the color of selected items by doing the following.

Right click an empty space on the desktop

Select Properties. Under the Appearance tab select the Advanced button

In the Dropdown box under item select "Selected Items" and choose what color you would like.

It has been quite a while since I've used XP, but after making the choice isn't there a box which reads something to the effect of "Save Changes"?  If memry serves me, if this isn't chosen the color could change

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
