First thing is to log into your Yahoo and change the password. It is possible you have a keylogger infection so it would be wise to change the password on a different machine you know is clean. Run a malwarebytes full scan and see what it finds. It is not always an infection that causes access to your email, it could be things like a week password that was hacked and now they make use to spam your contacts. Strong passwords usually include a capital letter a few numbers and a symbol such as a period... etc.

Thanks for the reply.  I'm running MBAM on all my machines as we speak.  Found one thing on this laptop and it looks like at least 5 things on the other machine.

Ok, need some serious help here.  I have now changed the password and my account is still sending out SPAM emails to my contacts.  i have run MBAM on all my machines including my work one and they are all clean.   The email was sent out this morning while all machines were off.  FWIW, I do have a mac in my house that we use.  Please, any advice would be appreciated.  THANKS!!!

How are you using this email address, do you have outlook installed or any other email clients like thunderbird or are you directly signing in through the website yahoo.com?
