Hi!

I tried to start in "Safe Mode" -

Got message to the effect -

"NT has discovered that there is only 67 Kb of Low Memory - need 512 Kb"

I haven't noticed any real problems with the computer.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Weird.  Does it boot normally?

If not I would reset all the ram chips and run memtest86

Thanks for the reply - "stillgrey"!

Yeah, starts into Windows with no problem.

I'll try your suggestions!

Thanks...

Hi

If it boot fine in to "Normal Mode" , your system hardware will be fine. I suspect the "safe Boot" reg key branch is somehow corrupted and that is causing issues to you. Please try the below steps.

1. Download and run ERUNT to backup the registry as a safety precaution.

   http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/

2. Download and extract WinSafeBoot.Zip from Kaspersky.

   http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/winsafeboot.zip

3. Double click on the  SafeBootWin2000.Reg file to merge the Reg fix. Now reboot and try "Safe Mode".

"low" memory is ram allocated to windows at startup forreading WHAT will startup.

You may be using a driver that allows windows to do this but is not apparent with safe and thus glitches on startup.
