Hi everyone i seem to be facing a similar BSOD issue for NETIO.sys and would appreciate any help i can get. I followed the same diagnostic steps recommended to the earleir users. Below are the results:

2. Speccy Snapshot - http://speccy.piriform.com/results/Eov44jCrmKjLXNemHJGnTlC

3. Minitoolbox Report - http://www.mediafire.com/view/p95wyutgp3p8pud/Minitoolbar%20Result.txt

Hi

McAfee and Torrents won't work happily together. Please uninstall McAfee at least as a test and let us know whether it helps. After uninstalling McAfee from Control Panel --> Programs, you should download and run their own cleaning tool from the below link.

If the BSOD continues, please upload the newest crash dumps with next reply.

Thanks Anshad. I shall follow that and report back with my findings.

Also, which AV would you recommend amongst the free versions? I've used Avast/AVG on my desktop computer while torrenting with no issues but i've always had McAfee on my laptops. My other laptop (also on McAfee) does not have any BSOD issues while torrenting.

Hi

Not all systems are same - neither in hardware wise nor in software wise. Different laptops uses different hardware parts (CPU , LAN , WLAN etc) and also the number of Windows updates, version of drivers , installed apps etc will be different. So we may not be able to reproduce the BSOD issue on a different system. If you re-install Windows from scratch, the BSOD might disappear as all drivers and Windows updates are reseted. Then it may reappear at a later point when a specific software or Windows update is installed. In short words, there is no universal solutions to fix blue screen issues. Root cause and it's solution will be different for different systems.

I would recommend  Bitdefender free as antivirus program. It is better than the paid version of McAfee.

But before installing it, uninstall McAfee and run the MCPR tool to clean remnants. Then observe and confirm the blue screens are gone for good.
