I bought a 7900gt the other day and im wondering how i get the transparency anti-ailiasing to apply to my games? I just don't know whether the setting is on or not

usually , it is set to use the game/programs settings, so you run it when u need to, and dont have it on when u dont need it.
you can change it underright click on your desktop>properties>settings>advanced>then select>7900gt tab, it is there somewhere, mine may be a bit different than yours. (6600gt)

Snapper is correct.
By default it is application controlled.
It is listed under "Performance and Quality" settings following Snappers path.
You can manually disable it and set it yourself but unless there's a particular issue, default is best.
