Hi my 2 year old speakers have stopped working they are

The volume control wont turn on and the blue light wont appear. It use to cut out sometimes before this I went to bed last night turned off the speakers and this morning I cant get it to turn on anyone know of any fixes?

Edit 1 miniute after this post kept turning it its started lightening up and dying. Now its eventually on I'm worried it may cut out later then I  have to turn it off and on for it try come back on. But it may not.

Sounds like an adapter problem. Make sure all plugs are in tightly.

After turning the volume control again.. the blue light and sound is on but the left speaker is making a strange noise? and when the volume is high it crackles and no sound comes from it apart from the worrying sound

I think my motherboard or usb port is dying? I have done and tested. The speaker jack in the front of my Pc and both speakers are working perfectly. What do you think it could be?
