Something evil has entered my computer

A few days ago, I noticed random sound clips coming from my TV speakers.  This is followed eventually by a Plug & Play has unexpectedly stopped so Windows must be shutdown & restarted or Dsomething server process has unexpectedly stopped etc.
Gateway computer running Windows 7 is connected, via wire, to a large SHARP flatscreen.
The sound clips repeat on a loop and consist of bits of music, commercials, interviews etc, which repeats on a loop until shutdown.

The sound clips come thru the speakers when the computer is on and isn't dependent on opening up Firefox or IE.


I did some spelunking on the web, so think it's some kindof virus or malware perhaps?  I have very specific places that I visit internet-wise so I believe it may have entered my computer via email and not a site.


I'm not a computergeek (I have lots of random bits of knowledge but am a serious plant & dog nerd) but I can follow directions.


Have run AVG & Malwarebytes but they've not found anything.


Someone on the Delphi Cookstalk forum recommended Combofix.


Any assistance is appreciated.  If you need more info let me know what I can do to supply the needed info.

I don't want to send out any emails until this is fixed.  Not sure if this "thing" perpetuates via email.

Yes  it is a newer malware. To get it out we should get a deeper look. Please follow this Preparation Guide, do steps 6,7 and 8 and post in a new topic.

Thanks much, Boopme.

I was able to post a new topic in the Virus etc forum.  Unable to follow the directions exactly as I didn't get the type of virus etc as in the procedure.  Also wasn't able to just copy and paste the dds.txt.  sigh  Sometimes I really REALLY hate tech<G>.


Hopefully it's ok to just attach the txt as an attachment?  That's what I did.

Now that you have properly posted a malware log topic, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on, the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

It may take several days to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
