In my system with widows 7 ultmiate 'some of the folders particularly belonging to malware removal software, antivirus software, internet security software folder'. In All Programs in start menu those folders are empty. Is it a virus, spyware or malware attack I don't know. Please someone help me in this regard.

Are you saying that the programs do not run?

What prompted you to take a look in those folders?

Mostly I don't keep desktop icons what ever programs are installed and I go only for ALL PROGRAMS and click any thing. When I went as usual to those folders such as Kaspersky antivirus (eventhough it is in tray), Malwarebytes folder, comodo internet securty,Anvir task manager, Advanced system care, Advanced windows care personal. Whatever I have installed for security reasons are all empty where as other normal folders are fine such as MS office, DC++, winrar,VLC media folder.

I think it should be certainly virus. I have uninstalled the antivirus for 4 days and during this time it happened. But it is the second time for me. During the first time I had the antivirus without password protection and hence it cheated kaspersky antivirus and it deactivated the updates and kaspersky did not update neither automatically nor manually in the same way now the comodo internet security (free version) is not updating. But kaspersky is updating ( may be now because of password protection). Is there any solution for this. I am afraid that it might happen for my personal files  in other drives also.
