Hello

Everytime I turn my computer on after windows loads I would say about 5 minutes or so, this WindowsEvenViewer crap pops up in Internet Explorer window. It shows as a computer code? I cannot for the life of me get rid of it. I have run full scans with Malewarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware as well as a full CCleaner cleanup. Still shows up...how do I get rid of this crap and why is it showing up?

You have Charter Security Suite...and F-Secure...both installed and active.  Please properly uninstall one to test the possibility of conflict between the two.

Then...run the chkdsk /r command on the Windows partition.

See how system then runs.

In control panel, the Comcast secure says its BY F-secure, as in its the same program. I did delete the other random program PC Kit or whatever, but I'll see how it works tomorrow and let you know...thank you

If the problem occurs again please download the new version of Ccleaner. it appears one of the recent updates changed or added an item labled "MS Search" under 'Applications' > 'Windows'.

Uncheck this option in the settings of CCleaner, It causes the exact symptoms described above.

I unchecked the box like you said in Ccleaner; however, this problem was occurring before I even downloaded Ccleaner, so how could that be the problem? It happened again this morning...     ;-/

I saw a referece yesterday that indicated that CCleaner might be the root of this...you had Ccleaner installed when you posted your MiniToolBox data.

I don't recommend Ccleaner to anyone for personal reasons...it removed .dmp files by default and it's "registry" function is just asking for troulbe on systems which have no problems.

The only issue with that possibility is I installed CCleaner to empty out the garbage racked up AFTER all of this occurred. I can get rid of CCleaner, that's perfectly fine, but if it did it before CCleaner, it will do it after Ccleaner is gone.

It's not my theory :),..just passing on what I read, using Google.

You are welcome to develop a better answer...just wanted to add some credence to what KingdomSeeker posted.

...and I appreciate all the help, truly. I know, as well, that CCleaner can be little volatile with things, I just don't know what windows event viewer is and why it keeps opening up with programmer code. AND also throwing in a www.w3.org/ blah blah blah in the first paragraph of that code.

I literally turn on the computer and after all "startup items" load, a full screen ie page opens up called windows event viewer, and I just want it to not do that...haha.

Thank you for your guidance thus far, and I would appreciate any and all other ideas you may have. :clapping:

I dont find anything wrong with CCleaner, it simply points to a none active object that contains a registry key in the hive. If a DLL isnt registered or failed to un-register and ccleaner looks at the point of origin and the file doesnt exist, it simply deletes the registry key or if a filt type association no longers exists because of software uninstallation.

You dont need to run registry cleaners because really there is no performance boost either. Its a choice for the person to take i agree.

I wrote a batch file that does pretty much everything ccleaner does anyway LOL.

In any case running this command will clean the machine to a similar extent as any other cleaning software.

cleanmgr /verylowdisk

If you navigate to

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Is there anything in this location? Also if its a full screen pafe, hit F11 then it should be normal screen size.

if you goto Run/Search and type the command "eventvwr", Expand Custom views/Administrative Events. And take a look through that to see what might be causing this fire up at login.

personally i have never seen this type of pop up.

Well...I found absolutely nothing in the startup folder, so I ran the EventViewer and over 8,000 showed up. I have attached a listing of the errors...maybe this makes more sense to you. Its def weird
