Try disabling automatic updates and preform a manual update.

It's the website...I already experienced the same earlier today (two times).

This happens occasionally, try updating later.

Did the installation disc you used contain SP1?

According to Windows, if you have SP1 you can install SP2 as it is cumulative.

You can download SP3 from the Microsoft Download Center, disregard that it is suggested that this is for IT Professionals.

Even with broadband this will take a long time to download, so bring your patience and be ready.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
