I do not know what the proper protocol is in this form. I have several issues, so I will include them here. If you guys think I should start separate threads, just let me know, and I will.

I have a Dell notebook, with 16 GB Ram, Windows 7, 64 bit.

I am not computer technical savvy so please speak as much as possible in layperson terminology directions and explanations.

Here are the issues:

-Videos that play let's say for example on a news site which I believe go through Adobe Flash Player, though I'm not sure, you guys would know better, seem to "bogged down" and the voices not match the mouth moving, and becomes "weird." I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe flash player several times. I am getting a "weird" looking screen that I thought might be malware wherein a "funny" looking box appears in the middle of the screen while something is playing asking to allow or not allow Adobe. It did not look legitimate. I did nonetheless eventually click on allow and the videos did play; this happened after reinstalling Adobe flash player. Still not working correctly. I did uninstall and then reinstall Adobe flash player.

-I have RealPlayer installed. There is a Real Player "download this video" option that pops up on the upper right-hand side of videos. I like this feature. I would like to work. I know there are other programs that do this. But, I don't see any reason why this feature should not be working. It did work for me in the past. It currently is not working. When I triy to use it everytime it says "download incomplete." How to fix?

-Microsoft Outlook was very slow. So, I googled the problem and found advice to archive the inbox and outbox and sent box of very old stuff. I tried to manually archive emails in my inbox, and sent box, in Microsoft Outlook. I got an error message. I set the auto archive to archive older emails every three months, changed from one year, and after the system was rebooted and archived older emails,it made a huge difference. I do want to be able to manually archive, I want to know why I'm getting an error message When I tried to manually archive.

-What I tried to cut and paste URLs or text usually it takes several attempts for the URL or text I am trying to cut to actually cut so that I can paste it, which is very frustrating time-consuming energy draining and annoying.

I very much appreciate the help, thank you

You don't say what browser you are using and you don't say where you are watching videos. Is it Youtube or someplace else? Regardless, the Real Player downloader doesn't work anymore so you'll have to find something else. I like to use Firefox to download videos and you can try out extensions and see which one you like.

The Real Player download option...is just that, it's optional from the perspective that that websites have taken measures to not allow it to work.

I haven't tried RP in some time...but the older versions where the download option actually worked...were ended about a year ago, I think.

Use Google For Details

There's nothing abnormal about your situation with RP.

If the problem is happening in multiple browsers then Flash is not the problem because IE and Firefox use different versions of Flash. Maybe Louis can have you do a Mini Tool Box and a Speccy and take a closer look at your system.

OK thanks Louis

I will use a FireFox download Add-On instead

So that problem is solved.

The other problems mentioned?

I see you are using Utorrent. I'd start by uninstalling it using Revo Uninstaller and then let it scan for leftover portions and delete them. I'd also do the same for every program you used it to download. Torrents can be very dangerous and full of malware. I also see Combofix so I'm assuming you've had malware issues. Did you use this with the help of a trained expert? If not it could have cause damage to your computer.

Yes I had a malware problem. You could see in this thread here:

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=137925&page=1

that I had a very high level proficient technical expert guide me to get rid of the malware. I do not believe that there were any issues remaining from the malware, it was removed cleanly, and there is no system damage. The expert working with me confirm this much as possible such.

All of the aforementioned problems were occurring before the infection. The infection happen at a time that was known. There was no infection prior to that time period, and the problems with their previously.

If you think it will still help, I will remove the U torrent program. The utility program was removed during the cleanup process. Without the utorrent program being in the system, the problems mentioned above still existed. So removing it is not going to solve the problems in my opinion. You however know better than I, and I'm here to follow you, and do it your way, not my way.

Thank you

PS: I posted another problem that was not listed in the list of problems above that I wish to add to the problems I'm having. This problem also was occurring prior to being infected with the malware, so I do not believe it has anything to do with the malware problem. The problem also existed after removing the torrent program, so I do not believe the torrent program has anything to do with it either.

Here is the post I made in another thread:

If I may ask, please, I have three external hard drives connected to a multi-plug USB plug-in, which plugs in via USB to a USBb part on my Dell notebook.

One of the external hard drives is a Seagate 4 TB which is brand new. I swapped it out recently three times to ensure that the hard drive itself is not the issue, and it is definitely not since I swapped it out three times, insofar as at least assumed reasonably so it is not defective.

The issue is rebooting. When I reboot whether it is hitting the restart button, or, doing a total shutdown and start from scratch, the computer does not restart as it freezes at the Dell screen, when the new hard drive is plugged in.

The other external hard drives do not cause any rebooting issues. One of the other hard drives is also a Seagate 4 TB. I believe it is the exact external hard drive, just older, but I believe, but not certain, it is the exact model.

I know that the easiest answer is to just not have it plugged in. However, that does not solve the problem. I do wish to have the problem solved, and do not want to have the hassle of constantly plugging it in and unplugging it.

I am not computer savvy so in any nice help please speak as much as possible in simple as possible layperson speak so I can understand what you're saying, and am able to follow your directions.

I googled the probblem and found that many adivise to change the boot order which I understand is the first step with this problem. When I first did check it, (I wish I could be more sure) I believe the boot order was out of order. However, I was able to successfully change the boot order and save it. It has been checked a dozen times or so since to make sure that the boot order was saved correctly, and is much as I can possibly tell, it is correct now; the external hard drives are last in order of boot up.

Any ideas thoughts and concepts in such as to what could be causing this, and ways to fix it? There must be a tangible issue at hand, and some way or somehow to fix this problem.

I genuinely appreciate the help.

Thank you

It seems that you ignored the suggestions made reformat/reinstall.  Why?

I did follow the directions. I posted in that thread he recommended and there were no responses, so I came here.

All problems listed here were in place before infection occurred.

I do not know how to reformat/reinstall, nor so I believe the system to be compromised.

Kevin was just saying that in case I could not fix the issues.
